Puducherry captain and newly recruited CSK all-rounder Aman Khan broke an unwanted record on Monday (December 29).
Aman Khan concedes 123 runs in 10 overs
Leading Puducherry, Aman Khan won the toss and put Jharkhand in to bat in the third round of the 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy. After two quick wickets, Jharkhand consolidated thanks to a 156-run third-wicket partnership between Utkarsh Singh (74 off 70) and Kumar Kushagra (105 off 104).
However, it was Anukul Roy, the former India U19 all-rounder, who provided the much-needed acceleration to the Jharkhand innings. Batting at No.6, Roy smashed seven fours and eight sixes en route to an unbeaten 98 off just 53 balls at a strike rate of 184.90.
Roy took a special liking to Aman Khan's medium pace, smacking the all-rounder for as many as seven sixes in 17 deliveries. The left-hander scored 59 runs off Aman's bowling alone. Kushagra was harsh on him as well, taking 33 runs off the 21 balls he faced.
Across his 10 overs, Aman conceded 12 fours and seven sixes and finished with figures of 1-123, the most expensive in List A cricket history. Nearly the three-fourths of the runs scored against him came in boundaries, and only 12 out of his 60 deliveries were not scored off.
Jharkhand ended up making 368-7, which proved too much for Puducherry as they were bowled out for 235. Batting at No.6, Aman made 28 off 24 before he was run out by his nemesis of the day, Roy.
Aman has played 12 IPL games, 11 for Delhi Capitals and one for KKR. Earlier this month, he was picked up by CSK for INR 40 lakhs in the IPL 2026 auction.
