The left-arm spinner became the first India bowler to cross 800 rating points in ICC WT20I rankings. She gained 25 points for her heroics in the Asia Cup, which included a four-wicket haul in the final against Sri Lanka, to get to 804. Overall, she is only the third bowler after Megan Schutt and Sophie Ecclestone to cross the milestone.

Shree Charani’s teammate Deepti Sharma was the highest wicket-taker in the Asia Cup with 14 scalps at an extraordinary average of 4.21. She jumped four spots to second place in the rankings. Linsey Smith also jumped up a place to sixth while Marizanne Kapp, previously ninth and not playing the Zimbabwe T20Is, slipped four places to drop out of the top 10.

Among the batters, Shafali Verma was the highest run-scorer in the continental tournament, amassing 236 runs at a strike-rate of 171.01 with three fifties. She jumped from seventh to sixth in the rankings, while Chamari Athapaththu dropped a spot to seventh after a sub-par Asia Cup with the bat, where she scored 99 runs in five matches.
Smriti Mandhana, who scored 213 runs in the Asia Cup and India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, retained their respective fifth and tenth spots. Laura Wolvaardt remained third, but could see an improvement in the next update, having smashed an unbeaten 126 against Zimbabwe on Tuesday, September 15.
