Zimbabwe and South Africa will face off in a two-Test series from Saturday (June 28). Here are the full squad lists and injury news for the teams.
ZIM v SA 2025 Tests: Team news
Both sides played their last Test in England – Zimbabwe in a one-off match against England at Trent Bridge, South Africa against Australia in the World Test Championship final at Lord's.
The hosts will be without opener Ben Curran, who sustained an injury when Kagiso Rabada hit him on the hand during a warm-up match between these two teams ahead of the WTC final. Pacer Richard Ngarava is also out with a back injury sustained during the England Test. Star all-rounder Sikandar Raza is unavailable due to MLC commitments, and seamer Victor Nyauchi has been left out for tactical reasons.

South Africa's squad has a fresh look to it, with five players – Dewald Brevis, Lhuan-dre Pretorius, Lesego Senokwane, Codi Yusuf, Prenelan Subrayen – in line for potential Test debuts. Batter Zubayr Hamza has also been recalled, as Cricket South Africa (CSA) have chosen to rest several first-choice players. Skipper Temba Bavuma had originally been named in the squad, but has since been ruled out through injury. Keshav Maharaj will lead South Africa for the first time in Test cricket, in his absence.
