Leg-spinner Mir has played 12 ODIs and five T20Is for Pakistan, but his last international outing was in April 2024. He is playing for Sialkot Region in the ongoing season of the National T20 Cup.
On March 12, he took 6-8 to dismantle Lahore Region Blues – the best T20 figures by anyone on Pakistan soil. He also became the fourth bowler to take two six-wicket hauls in T20 cricket (he had earlier taken 6-40 for Multan Sultans in PSL 2024).

In their next game, on March 14 against Abbottabad Region at Peshawar, Sialkot Region rode on Abdullah Shafique’s 54-ball 96 (four fours, seven sixes) to put up 202-6. Abbottabad reached 66-2 in response before Mir took out both set batters, Sajjad Ali and Shadab Khan, and added the wickets of Khushdil Shah and Mohammad Mohsin Khan to his tally.
Mir eventually finished with 4-42 as Abbottabad were bowled out for 171. This made Mir the 12th bowler in history to take 10 wickets across two consecutive games in men’s T20 cricket.
