The second round of the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament kicked off on August 22. The tournament, held in Chennai, acts as the traditional curtain-raiser for the Indian domestic season, giving teams the opportunity for a final tune-up before the Duleep Trophy and Ranji Trophy get underway.
In the first round, there were standout performances from a couple of established names in the form of Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan, while Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ayush Mhatre both surprised with the ball.
