
The latest annual ICC ODI team rankings have been released. While the top team retained its position, there have been significant changes throughout the rest of the table.
In the latest ODI rankings, India have consolidated their top position following their victorious 2025 Champions Trophy campaign, improving their rating points from 122 to 124. Runners-up New Zealand have moved up to second place, overtaking Australia, who have slipped to third.
Sri Lanka have made significant gains after historic series wins against India and Australia. The commendable performance earned them five rating points, lifting them to fourth place, overtaking Pakistan (fifth with a one-point gain) and South Africa (sixth after losing four points).

ICC ODI rankings: Afghanistan overtake England
Afghanistan, making their Champions Trophy debut, have also climbed the rankings, gaining four points to reach seventh. They displaced former world champions England, who suffered a four-point drop and fell to eighth. Meanwhile, the West Indies rose to ninth after gaining five points, overtaking Bangladesh, who slipped to tenth with a four-point loss.
Outside the top 10, the USA were the biggest gainers in rating points, adding six points but remaining in 15th place. Below them, Oman overtook Canada to claim 16th spot, while the rest of the teams retained their positions.
Scotland are the only non-Test-playing nation in the top 12, sitting one point above 13th-ranked Ireland, who have 48 rating points.
