ICC annual rankings update: Current T20I standings for all teams

The ICC announced team rankings across formats following its annual update today (May 5) - here's the updated men's T20I table.

How does the annual ICC rankings update change things?

The latest rankings update now gives a 100 per cent weightage to all matches played since May 2024, while the matches played in the two years before that capped at a 50 per cent weightage.

That essentially allows teams that have done better recently compared to two or three years back to move up the rankings.

Updated men's T20I rankings: India retain top spot

T20 world champions India have maintained their position at the top of the team rankings, which includes 100 teams for the first time.

Australia are placed second, trailing India by nine points, while runners-up at last year's T20 World Cup, South Africa, are placed sixth. Sri Lanka have overtaken Pakistan at seventh place, while Canada have made the biggest jump in terms of ratings, gaining nine points to enter the top 20. In terms of positions, the Bahamas and Estonia are the two biggest improvers, climbing eight places to 51st and seven places to 61st respectively.
