Bangladesh defeated Pakistan 2-1 in a three-match ODI series in Mirpur. Here’s how the men’s ODI team rankings look after the result.

Bangladesh got the better of Pakistan in a close third match to seal the series 2-1. Batting first, Tanzid Hasan’s century had taken them to 290, with Towhid Hridoy and Litton Das contributing with 48 and 41 runs, respectively.

Pakistan faltered throughout the chase, losing wickets at regular intervals. Salman Ali Agha’s third ODI ton and captain Shaheen Shah Afridi’s late onslaught gave them hope, but they ultimately fell short by 11 runs. Taskin Ahmed starred with the ball, taking four wickets for 49 runs, while Rishad Hossain bowled a tight last over.

The hosts started the series with a commanding eight-wicket victory after bowling out Pakistan for just 114. Right-arm pacer Nahir Rana picked up a five-wicket haul in the game, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz also took three wickets.

Pakistan won the second match rather comfortably to level the series. Twenty-year-old Maaz Sadaqat, playing only his second ODI, produced an all-round performance to first help his side post 274 before bowling out Bangladesh for 114 in a rain-affected encounter.
