South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt has climbed to the top of the latest ICC Women’s ODI Rankings, while India’s Jemimah Rodrigues has also made notable gains.
Laura Wolvaardt becomes No.1 batter in women's ODIs
Wolvaardt has risen to the top of the ICC Women’s ODI batting rankings with a career-best rating of 814. Wolvaardt, who led South Africa to a runners-up finish in the 2025 Women's World Cup, was the tournament's leading run-scorer with 571 runs and hundreds in the semi-final and final. She displaces India's Smriti Mandhana, who now sits in second place with a rating of 811.
Australia all-rounder Ellyse Perry jumped into the top ten, rising to seventh after her score of 77 against India in the semi-final. She now shares that spot with Sophie Devine, who retired from the format after New Zealand's campaign. Other significant movers in the rankings include Jemimah Rodrigues, who climbed nine places to enter the top 10 following her match-winning hundred in the semi-final against Australia. Meanwhile, Phoebe Litchfield rose 13 places to 13th with a rating of 637 after her century in the final against India.

Among bowlers, South Africa’s Marizanne Kapp jumped two places to second following her 5-20 against England in the semi-final. Kapp now has a rating of 712, trailing table-topper Sophie Ecclestone, who has 747.
Other moves in the top ten include Annabel Sutherland (up to sixth), Kim Garth (seventh), and Hayley Matthews (eighth), all rising by one place. India spinner Shree Charani jumped seven places to 23rd. In the all-rounders' rankings, World Cup Player of the Tournament Deepti Sharma gained a spot to fourth, with Sutherland making way for her.
