WPL 2026 mega auctions

Ahead of the fourth edition, 2026, the Women’s Premier League will have its first ever mega-auction. Here are all the updates on the cricketers released and retained by all five franchises ahead of the auction.

WPL 2026 auction: What are the retention rules?

The deadline for the retentions ahead of the WPL 2026 mega-auctions is November 5, 2025. The five teams can retain up to five players from their squads for the previous edition, in 2025.

These cricketers will have predetermined price slabs, of at least3.5 crore, 2.5 crore, 1.75 crore, 1 crore, and 50 lakh (all amounts in INR).

These amounts will be deducted from the INR 15 crore purse that they will enter the auction with. The mega-auction is expected to take place sometime between November 26 and 29.

The price slabs

Every team can retain up to five cricketers, for price slabs of at least 3.5 crore, 2.5 crore, 1.75 crore, 1 crore, and 50 lakh (all amounts in INR).

The sum will be deducted from their mega-auction purse of INR 15 crore.
