England have made two updates to their squad for the ODI series against West Indies.
Alice Capsey, Lauren Filer added to England squad
England announced on Tuesday (May 27) that batter Alice Capsey has been added as cover for former captain Heather Knight to the squad that will face the West Indies in a three-match ODI series.
Knight injured herself during her match-winning knock of 66 in the third T20I against the West Indies on Monday (May 26). She didn't take the field in the second innings as Nat Sciver-Brunt confirmed that she's suffering from a tight hamstring. "She has got a tight hamstring. She will be assessed in the next few days," Sciver-Brunt said after the game.
Capsey played in the three T20Is but had very little do, batting only once to make four off eight balls and not bowling at all. Her last ODI came in the Ashes earlier this year, where she made scores of four, 14, and zero. Overall, Capsey has 283 runs at 18.86 and has picked up eight wickets at 26.87 in her ODI career.

The other addition to the squad is right-arm seamer Lauren Filer, the 24-year-old who is returning from a knee injury and has not played for England since the Ashes whitewash earlier this year. She will join Lauren Bell, Kate Cross, Emily Arlott, Mahika Gaur, and Alice Davidson-Richards as the sixth seam-bowling option in the squad.
When will the England-West Indies ODIs start?
The three-match ENG vs WI women's ODI series starts on May 30 at County Ground in Derby. The second ODI will be played on June 4 at Grace Road in Leicester, while the final ODI will take place on June 7 in Taunton.
The West Indies ODIs will be followed by five T20I and three ODIs against India.
