Tilly Corteen-Coleman bowling for Surrey

England have named uncapped teenage left-arm spinner Tilly Corteen-Coleman in their squad for the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup.

Eighteen-year-old Corteen-Coleman has never previously been named in a senior England squad, but was included in their winter training camps. Earlier this year, she was the most expensive uncapped player sold in the women's Hundred auction, bought for £105,000 by Southern Brave. Her inclusion in the squad means that England will have three left-arm spinners at their disposal during the tournament, with Sophie Ecclestone and Linsey Smith also making the cut.

Among other notable inclusions is Issy Wong, who has been named in her first T20 World Cup squad. Wong has been capped 17 times by England in T20Is after making her debut in 2022. She is the third pacer in the squad alongside Lauren Filer and Lauren Bell, having edged out the likes of Mahika Gaur, and Alexa Stonehouse as the other quicks who were part of England's winter training camps.

Allrounders Dani Gibson and Freya Kemp have also both made the squad. Both of the seam-bowling pair have battled with injuries over the last few years, which have periodically prevented them from bowling. However, both have started the domestic season fully fit, with Gibson smashing back-to-back half-centuries for Somerset in her last two One Day Cup appearances, the latest of which was a boundary-fuelled 77 off 37 balls.

Their places have come at the expense of Em Arlott, who made her England debut last year. She played all six of England's T20Is last summer, and took nine wickets at 21.22. Other notable omissions from the squad include Tammy Beaumont, who captained England in their most recent T20I outing against India last summer, as well as top-order batter Maia Bouchier, and leg-spinner Sarah Glenn.

Along with their T20 World Cup squad, England have also announced their ODI squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand. Kira Chathli has been named in her first senior England squad as a back-up keeper for Amy Jones, with leg-spin bowling allrounder Jodi Grewcock, also receiving her first international call-up.
