Australia opener Beth Mooney is the new top-ranked batter in WT20Is, thanks to her player of the tournament performance in the T20 World Cup.
Mooney also won the player of the match award in the final against England, scoring a 49-ball 64 in the 151-run chase. She eventually finished the World Cup as the second-highest run-scorer with 238 runs in seven matches at an average of 47.6 and a strike rate of 142.51.
With her blockbuster outing, Mooney overtook her teammate Georgia Voll to become the No.1-ranked batter in T20Is with 785 rating points. She was earlier placed second but half-centuries in the semifinal and the final propelled her to the top. Voll, meanwhile, scored only 16 and nine, respectively, in the two crucial games.
South Africa skipper Laura Wolvaardt remained third after scoring only 17 runs in the semi-final against England. The rest of the top 10 remains unchanged since the last update. South Africa’s Tazmin Brits has gained three places to jump to 11th after scoring 51 runs against England in the semi-final.
