The auction for the T20 Mumbai League 2025 is being held today: follow the live updates of the bidding process, with full list of sold players and completed squads.
The auction, being held on May 7, will see 280 players go under the hammer. The list of players include 17-year-old sensation Ayush Mhatre, currently lighting up the IPL for Chennai Super Kings. Other names include Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Tanush Kotian and Musheer Khan, all of whom have made their name already as exciting talents from Mumbai.
T20 Mumbai League auction: Who are the icon players?
A total of eight players were selected as icon players as part of the pre-auction draft: these are – Ajinkya Rahane, Suryakumar Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Tushar Deshpande, Prithvi Shaw, Shivam Dube, Sarfaraz Khan and Shreyas Iyer.
T20 Mumbai League auction: What are the price slabs?
Each team has to spend a minimum of INR 80 lakh. The purse for each team is INR 1 crore.
These are the base prices for each player:
Senior player: INR 5 lakh
Emerging Player: INR 3 lakh
Development Player: INR 2 lakh
Each team is required to select four senior players, and at least five emerging players as well as five development players. The squad has to have a minimum of 18 members.
All eight icon players were signed at INR 20 lakh.
