Easton McMorris and Garry Sobers began the third day’s play against England in the Kingston Test match of 1959/60. When McMorris retired hurt over the course of play, Seymour Nurse joined Sobers, and the pair batted for the rest of the day. This day’s play does not form the part of our quiz.

There have been instances of four batters batting on the same day without losing a wicket as well. In each of these cases, two batters have batted before a team declared the innings closed, and the other team’s openers remained unseparated. These, too, are not part of our quiz.
