Australia all-rounder Cameron Green maintained his red-hot form ahead of the World Test Championship final, scoring another century for Gloucestershire against Northamptonshire in the 2025 County Championship.
Green signed a five-match deal for Gloucestershire in the ongoing county season after a "significant donation" from an unnamed club member. His stint started on April 18 with a match against Kent, also marking his first first-class game in 13 months after a long injury hiatus. He announced his return with a fighting 188-ball 112 in a draw.
Following the remarkable comeback innings, Green went four consecutive innings without any notable score. In the meantime, he was named in the Australia squad for the World Test Championship final from June 11.
Green last played a Test match against New Zealand in March last year. After earning a recall for the WTC final, he celebrated with another century in the reverse fixture against Kent. In response to Kent’s first-innings total of 424, Green contributed 128 off 184 balls, helping secure a 92-run lead. Later, while chasing 162 in the fourth innings for victory, he spearheaded the effort with a crucial 67, as the match went down to the wire, with Gloucestershire winning by just three wickets.

Before the second innings of the Northamptonshire fixture, Green has already amassed 442 runs in five matches at an impressive average of 73.66, the most for his side.
