The biggest news in the Lucknow camp is Mayank Yadav’s availability: along with Anrich Nortje (who can play in Wanindu Hasaranga’s absence) and Mohammed Shami, he will form one of the most devastating strike-bowling pace attacks in the 2026 IPL. Hasaranga will not missed to begin with, for Shahbaz Ahmed is in form, while Aiden Markram and Ayush Badoni can chip in with some overs of spin.
DC will be without Mitchell Starc, but so strong is their Indian contingent that they can still go in with three overseas players, all of whom are likely to be South Africans.
