In the first ODI, Daryl Mitchell’s century was the highlight for New Zealand, as he made 119 of their 269 runs. West Indies fell seven runs short.
The second match was rain-curtailed: West Indies posted 247-9, thanks to Shai Hope’s unbeaten 109 off 69 balls in a 34-overs-a-side contest. In reply, Devon Conway’s 90 and Rachin Ravindra’s 56 helped the hosts chase the target with five wickets and three balls to spare.
In the final match, Matt Henry rose to the occasion with 4-43, skittling West Indies for 161. New Zealand were jolted early at 32-3, but Mark Chapman’s 64 and Michael Bracewell’s unbeaten 40 saw them home in 30.3 overs with four wickets in hand. Kyle Jamieson earned Player of the Series honours after topping the wicket charts with seven wickets at 20.00 and an economy of 5.38.

New Zealand sit fourth in the men’s ICC ODI rankings with a rating of 112, well behind leaders India on 122. West Indies, meanwhile, are ninth on 77 – occupying the final automatic-qualification spot for the 2027 ICC Men’s ODI World Cup – with Bangladesh close behind in 10th on 76.
