Multan's dangerous opening pair of Sahibzada Farhan and Steve Smith once again gave the side a fine start, taking them to 132 in 12.2 overs, when Farhan fell for 66 in 43. Smith carried on, getting to his second T20 hundred this year, and the first in the PSL. His 47-ball ton was laced with six sixes, with the highlight being his onslaught on Hunain Shah, against whom he hit six boundaries in an over, scoring 28 runs. In reply, Hyderabad were 48-3 at one stage, but a 123-run stand between Marnus Labuschagne (61) and Usman Khan (101) took them close. Hassan Khan's six-ball 24* ensured a four-wicket victory.
