Wisden, one of the world’s most respected cricket media brands, has agreed a multi-year deal as sponsor of Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen ahead of their debut season in the HBL Pakistan Super League.
Combining tradition and innovation, the partnership will bring together one of the oldest names in sport with one of the newest, bringing authority to a forward-thinking franchise. As well as on-shirt branding, the two will collaborate on co-branded content and match-day activations, with Wisden’s journalistic voice using access to players to bring fans into the dressing room to see how a top-level T20 side really operates.
The Wisden Almanack has been published annually since 1864, and has become established as a definitive publication of statistical record, as well as shaping public debate and opinion. More recently, through the relaunch of Wisden.com and Wisden Cricket Monthly and the growth of the award-winning Wisden Cricket Weekly Podcast, Wisden has stepped into the modern age, read and listened to by millions of cricket fans to bring the game to a new generation. Their storytelling expertise will give a deeper insight into Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen, showing the emotion and thinking behind starting and running a professional T20 cricket team.
Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen were acquired by Kingsmen at the recent HBL PSL team auction, with two new teams joining the world-leading franchise competition from 2026. They are the latest addition to Kingsmen’s growing cricket portfolio, which also includes USA Minor League Cricket team Chicago Kingsmen.
