Ranji Trophy 2025-26: What happened in the first two rounds?
The latest round of fixtures was one for some of the older pros, as Ajinkya Rahane and Mohammed Shami put in starring performances. Former teenage wonderkid Prithvi Shaw also caught the eye with a rapid double century for Maharashtra, having moved from Mumbai ahead of this season.
Only three teams across the four Elite groups, and the Plate group – Services, Haryana and Bengal – have won both of their matches thus far. All three are in Elite Group C. Vidarbha, Maharashtra, Mumbai and Mizoram top Elite groups A, B and D and the Plate group respectively.

Yashasvi Jaiswal brought up his century off 120 balls, hitting 11 fours. Mumbai are 186-2 after conceding a 363-run first innings lead.

Mayank Mishra's 5-45 helped Uttarakhand bowl Services out for 105, setting up a thrilling win.

The Rajasthan batter brings up his second first-class double century - first in nine years.

Out-of-favour India international Deepak Hooda reached his 150 off 206 balls, taking Rajasthan to 396-4 in reply to Mumbai's 254 in the first innings.
Suyash Prabhudessai hits breezy hundred to lead Goa’s response against Punjab
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru-capped player hit his seventh first-class ton off 132 balls. He stitched a 200-run opening stand with Manthan Khutkar in response to Punjab's 325 in the first innings.
Armaan Jaffer hits career-best first-class score
Armaan, nephew of Wasim Jaffer, struck 178 off 252 balls, beating his previous first-class best of 144 against Arunachal Pradesh during the last round.

Saharan's scores in first-class cricket now read 75, 36, 37 and 100 (batting).
Century for Pradosh Ranjan Paul!
The TN left-hander scored a double century in his last knock.
This is his eighth first-class century, and his first-class batting average now ticks up to 58.86 – the fifth-highest by any Indian with at least 2,000 runs.
Naturally, this number will decrease once he is dismissed.
Century for Karnajit Yumnam!
The Manipur opener gets there off 125 balls.

Manipur openers Karnajit Yumnam and Ulenyai Khwairakpam have put on 197 in 47 overs so far against Arunachal Pradesh.
This is Manipur's highest partnership for any wicket in first-class cricket.
The previous record was 186 for the fifth wicket, between Priyojit Kangabam and Jotin Pheirojam against Sikkim earlier this season.

The Kings XI Punjab opener starred in the IPL, and smashed a century on India A debut in September.
