Earlier in the game, India women batting first posted a gigantic total of 337 ob board. Thanks to a couple of brilliant knocks from the centurion Jemimah and Deepti who missed out on her ton by 7 runs. India lost a couple early on and they were 3 down for just 50 on board. Jemimah along with Smriti first and than that marthon partnership with Deepti managed to help the side post 337. Klaas, Nadine and Mlaba took a couple each while Tryon and Annerie took one apiece.

India's bowlers delivered a sensational performance, with Amanjot being particularly lethal, claiming 3 wickets. Deepti Sharma picked two while Shree Charani and Rawal also chipped in with 1 wicket each. They were excellent with their fielding as well.

Chasing down a mammoth total, South Africa Women were never off the hook. The side lost Godall in the second over and were on the backfoot ever since. Britz, Smit, Shangase and Jafta did get starts but departed when the time was to step on the accelerator. Dercksen was the only one alongside Tryon who matched fire with fire but even their efforts were not enough to make a game out of this contest.

India Women have secured a spot in the Tri-series final alongside Sri Lanka after winning this match by 23 runs. In the second innings, South Africa Women struggled to chase down the massive total of 337, losing key wickets early on, including Goodall in the second over. They saw some hope towards the end but ultimately fell short.
