Musheer Khan

In a game against Loughborough UCCE, Musheer Khan retired out after smashing 154 in 146 balls.

Musheer began the tour of England with a 149-ball 123 against Nottinghamshire 2nd XI to help the Mumbai Cricket Association Emerging Players to amass 448 at the Welbeck Cricket Club in London. Still not content, he claimed 6-31 and 1-44 as MCA Emerging won by an innings.

Musheer was at it again in his next match, against the Challengers (Combined National Counties), with 6-38, 125, and 4-56 at Radcliffe on Trent in London. Chasing 503, the Challengers were 217-9 in the fourth innings before Don Lincoln and Joseph Davies survived for 16 balls.

Opening batting in the third game, at Loughborough, London, Musheer lost two partners by the fourth over. MCA Emerging were 6-2 at that point, but he added 130 with Harsh Aghav (64). Once Aghav fell, captain Suryansh Shedge walked out to smash 108 in 64 balls with 13 fours and six sixes.

By then, Musheer had raced to 154 in 146 with 22 fours and two sixes, and the pair had added 196 in a mere 112 balls. Both batters retired at this point, and Shedge declared the innings closed on 384 after 60 overs.

Nikhil Giri then bowled Jamie Dunk in the first over, while Hrishikesh Gore got Pranav Pothula. Having kept Musheer off the attack for 18 overs, Shedge now summoned him to bowl the last over of the day. Loughborough captain Arjun Ramkumar (43 in 55 balls) played out the first two balls, but Musheer trapped him leg-before with the third.

That concluded the day’s play, with Loughborough on 83-3 and Jay Madan unbeaten on 10. They trail by 301 runs.
