Tendulkar dismisses Dravid: The 2003 prequel
For much of the 1990s and 2000s, the NKP Salve Challenger Trophy, often featuring three teams, usually served as a trial of sorts for the Indian ODI side. Sachin Tendulkar was playing for India A in the final of the 2003/04 edition, while Rahul Dravid was leading India B.
Sachin Tendulkar top-scored with a 95-ball 88 that day, while S Sriram biffed his way to a 55-ball 70. Rohan Gavaskar, a bridge to an even earlier generation, smashed a 45-ball 49 as India A posted 314-6.
In response, India B collapsed to 58-3 before Rahul Dravid (27 in 34 balls) and Yuvraj Singh (47 in 51) added 65. The partnership broke when Sachin Tendulkar bowled Rahul Dravid.
The rest of the India B line-up caved in to 215 as Ramesh Powar picked up 3-29 and Sairaj Bahutule smashed his way to a 44-ball 54 not out.
