Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Kolkata Knight Riders: Team news | RCB vs KKR

After replacement signings were announced following a week's pause due to the India-Pakistan conflict, Jacob Bethell has returned, but he will be available only until the end of the league phase. There are doubts over Josh Hazlewood’s availability, considering he missed RCB’s last match due to a shoulder injury. Reports suggest he could return should RCB reach the playoffs.

Lungi Ngidi is likely to play against KKR, but will re-join the South Africa Test squad before the IPL playoffs. In a major boost, RCB’s captain Rajat Patidar was seen batting in the nets after sustaining a finger injury against CSK and is available for selection.

KKR will be without Moeen Ali, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a viral infection, and Rovman Powell, who is currently undergoing a medical procedure. Barring the duo, all overseas signings, including Quinton de Kock and Spencer Johnson, whose availability had been a slight doubt, are available for selection.

      RCB vs KKR: Match prediction

RCB, currently on 16 points, need just one win from their remaining three matches to secure a playoff spot. KKR, though still in contention, are closer to elimination than qualification. Two wins would take them to 15 points, but they would also need other results to go their way. The good news for KKR is that RCB’s home record has been patchy this season. Given how the IPL always delivers surprises, expect the visitors to cling to their slender hopes with a victory.
