Elite Group A

Resuming the day at 230-6 after being 76-6 at one stage, Baroda were bowled out for 363 against Andhra. Vishnu Solanki top-scored with 131. In response, Andhra were 43-2 at stumps, with Bhargav Bhatt taking both wickets.

In Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh are in a strong position in reply to Odisha's first-innings total of 243. An unbeaten 146-run partnership between Aaradhya Yadav (80) and Karan Sharma (63) took them to 261-3 by the end of the day's play.

Tamil Nadu posted a mammoth 512-3 before declaring their innings against Nagaland. Pradosh Ranjan Paul (201 not out) led the charge with his maiden double ton, while R Vimal Khumar contributed with 189. In response, Nagaland will resume the third day on 150-4, having earlier been reduced to 31-4.

The match between Jharkhand and Vidarbha at Jamtha, Nagpur, continues to be hampered by rain. After play was restricted on day one, Jharkhand were eventually bowled out for 332. The foundation of their innings was a 119-run opening stand between Shikhar Mohan (60) and Sharandeep Singh (46).

Elite Group B

Chandigarh were bowled out for 209, falling 104 runs short of Maharashtra's first-innings total of 313, which was built on Ruturaj Gaikwad's 116. 2021-22 U19 World Cup winner Vicky Ostwal picked up his maiden first-class five-wicket haul, finishing with figures of 6-40.

In Shimoga, Karun Nair led Karnataka's batting effort with 174 in their total of 371. In reply, Goa reached 28-1 at stumps.

Yash Dubey's century put Madhya Pradesh in a comfortable position at 195-4 in response to Saurashtra's first-innings total of 260.

In New Chandigarh, Punjab posted a total of 436. Former U19 World Cup winner Harnoor Singh was the cornerstone of the innings, scoring 170. A 111-run stand between Mayank Markande and Prerit Dutta also frustrated the tourists. Dutta was dismissed for 70, while Markande remained not out on 48.

  • Saurashtra 260 (Chirag Jani 82, Kumar Kartikeya 4-84) v Madhya Pradesh 195-4 (Yash Dubey 109*, Prerak Mankad 1-12). Madhya Pradesh trail by 65 runs.
  • Punjab 436 (Harnoor Singh 170, Ankit Sharma 4-103) v Kerala 15-1 (Vathsal 7*, Krish Bhagat 1-4). Kerala trail by 421 runs.

Elite Group C

Bengal had Gujarat by the scruff of the neck, reducing them to 107-7 after scoring 279 in their first innings. Out-of-favour India spinner Shahbaz Ahmed led the rout with four wickets.

In Tinsukia, the match between Assam and Services ended in just 90 overs. Arjun Sharma (5-46), who claimed a hat-trick alongside Mohit Jangra earlier, starred once again in the second innings with a four-for, skittling Assam for 75. Chasing 71, Services won by eight wickets.

At Lahli, Haryana beat Tripura by nine wickets. After securing a slender 32-run first-innings lead by posting 158, they skittled Tripura for just 47 thanks to Parth Vat’s five-wicket haul. Chasing 15, they won by nine wickets. Tripura and Royal Challengers Bengaluru all-rounder Swapnil Singh's career-best 7-66 went in vain.

For Railways, Mohammad Asif’s 131 and B.H. Merai’s unbeaten 89 took them to 333. In response, Uttarakhand were 122-2 at stumps.

  • Tripura 126 (Swapnil K Singh 44, Nikhil Kashyap 4-34) & 47 (Sridam Paul 18, Parth Vats 5-14) v Haryana 158 (Dheeru Singh 40, Swapnil Singh 7-66) & 18-1 ( Mayank Shandilya 7*, Swapnil Singh 1-13). Haryana won by nine wickets.
  • Railways 333 (Mohammad Saif 131, Mayank Mishra 6-84) v Uttarakhand 122-2 (Kunal Chandela 50, Z A Khan 1-15). Uttarakhand trail by 211 runs.

Elite Group D

Resuming at their overnight score of 255-1, Hyderabad were all out for 435. Captain Rahul Gahlaut made 114. In response, Puducherry were 25-1 at stumps.

At the MCA Cricket Ground, Ajinkya Rahane made 159 to spearhead Mumbai's batting effort. Siddhesh Lad (80) and Akash Anand (60*) also contributed, taking them to 406-8 at stumps on day two.

In Srinagar, Auqib Nabi has delivered a stellar all-round performance so far. After his 55 from No. 9 helped Jammu and Kashmir take a 130-run first-innings lead over Rajasthan, he reduced the opposition to 38-5 in the second innings, with figures of 5-5. Nabi also took 3-29 in the first innings.

Himachal Pradesh are currently 165-3 in reply to Delhi's 430 in the first innings. Delhi's innings had six half-centurions: Arpit Rana, Sanat Sangwan, Yash Dhull, Ayush Doseja, Sumit Mathur and Anuj Rawat 57.
