The top four batters of Afghanistan first-class side, Hindukush Strikers, all struck hundreds, as the side crossed the 600-run mark for the loss of just three wickets.

In the Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-Day Tournament, Hindukush, who are currently languishing at the bottom of the table in the four-team competition, made a strong start against Pamir Legends at Nangarhar. Openers Hassan Eisakhil and Noor ul Rahman both struck hundreds, stitching together a 209-run stand for the first wicket.

Eisakhil, the son of Mohammad Nabi, was the first to depart, after making his second ton in three first-class matches. But, there was no respite for Pamir Legends, as in-form Afghanistan Test skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi walked out. Shahidi, who made 205 and 104 in the opening game against Mah-e-Par, brought up his tenth first-class hundred, in his 34th game.

Shahidi struck 153 in 272 balls, scoring 94 runs for the third wicket, before Noor, who hit five sixes in his 212-ball stay, in which he scored 132 runs, departed. Hindukush skipper Mohammad Asif, at No.4, also repeated the feat of the other top three batters, making a quick hundred, finishing day two unbeaten on 180 off 234 deliveries.

Hindukush, which was 606-3 at one stage, were 652-4 after the end of Friday.

This was just the 15th time in first-class history that the top four batters have scored hundreds in the same innings for a side.
