The 13th edition of the Women's ODI World Cup starts on September 30. Here’s everything you need to know about all the 2025 Women's World Cup squads, including the full team list and injury updates.
Women's World Cup 2025: What's the schedule?
A total of 28 group matches will be played from September 30 to October 26 among eight teams, with each playing seven games. The top four sides will advance to the semi-finals on October 29 and 30, with the top two teams from that stage qualifying for the final on November 2.
Pakistan and Bangladesh had to enter the tournament by playing the Qualifier in April. Pakistan topped the table with five consecutive wins, while Bangladesh, who finished next-best with three wins from five games (the same as the West Indies), secured the final spot by a whisker on the basis of their superior net run rate. They join Australia, England, New Zealand, and South Africa, and joint-hosts India and Sri Lanka, as the teams vying for the title.
Women's World Cup 2025: Team news
Hosts India were the first to announce their squad, with Shafali Verma once again omitted from the ODI side.
Defending champions and record seven-time title-holders Australia called back spinner Sophie Molineux after surgery, with Phoebe Litchfield earning her maiden ODI World Cup call-up.
England, the next-most successful team with four titles, saw the return of captain Heather Knight to their squad following an injury lay-off. Meanwhile, 2000 champions New Zealand announced a strong squad under Sophie Devine, who will retire from ODIs after the tournament.
