The 11th season of the Pakistan Super League – PSL 2026 – kicks off on March 26. Here are five uncapped players to watch out for this term.
The best uncapped players who can light up PSL 2026
5. Abdullah Fazal (Rawalpindiz)
Signed by Rawalpindiz at the PSL auction earlier this year for PKR 67.5 lakh, this will be the 23-year-old left-handed opener’s first PSL season. He rose to prominence over the last two National T20 League campaigns, scoring 420 runs in eight matches at a strike rate of almost 160.
He starred for the Karachi Blues in the semi-final of the ongoing edition of the National T20 Cup, scoring 88 off 41 against Sialkot to win his team the game and take home the Player of the Match award. He also averages 41 in 25 first-class games, and was his team's top performer with knocks of 88 and 114 in a victorious Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025/26 final.
4. Farhan Yousaf (Peshawar Zalmi)
Yousaf captained Pakistan at the U19 World Cup earlier this year before stealing the show in the ongoing National T20 Cup for Lahore Whites, prompting Peshawar Zalmi to sign him directly after he went unsold at the auction.
After starting the campaign with a 31-ball 61 in a chase of 168, having come in at 48-3, the middle order batter has gone on to total 143 runs across four innings at a strike-rate of 188.
3. Ubaid Shah (Lahore Qalandars)
The younger brother of Naseem, this will be 20-year-old pacer Ubaid’s third PSL season. He has picked up 12 wickets in 11 PSL games, all of which came in the 2025 season in nine matches playing for Multan Sultans.
Predictably, he was in high demand at the auction and was signed by Lahore Qalandars for PKR 2.7 crore, four-and-a-half times his base price of PKR 60 lakh. Overall, in 28 T20 matches, he has picked 29 wickets at 28.31 each, and has an economy of 9.24. He has a stellar first-class record as well in a young career, with 72 wickets in 16 matches at 25.20, including two five-fors and a ten-wicket haul.
2. Ali Raza (Peshawar Zalmi)
Raza, an 18-year-old right-arm pacer, was retained by Peshawar Zalmi for PKR 1.96 crore, showing how highly he is rated. He also comes with PSL experience, having picked up 12 wickets in nine games of the 2025 season.
Raza was the fourth-highest wicket-taker at the 2026 U19 World Cup with 13 scalps in five games, and had taken nine wickets in the 2024 editions as well. Notably, he has Ian Bishop and Wasim Akram as big fans.
1. Sameer Minhas (Islamabad United)
Among the most exciting batting talents in the country, opener Sameer Minhas was bought by Islamabad United for PKR 1.9 crore at the PSL auction. He was the 2025 U19 Asia Cup’s top-scorer with 471 runs scored in five games at 157 and a strike-rate of 117.45, including a 113-ball 172 against India in the final.
At this year's U19 World Cup, he finished as Pakistan’s top scorer with 197 runs in five games at a strike rate of 105. He also holds the record of the fastest youth ODI hundred, beating Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s record of 52 balls, to get to three figures in just 42 deliveries against Zimbabwe earlier this year. He’s only played two senior T20s so far, but this may become the stage where he announces himself to the world.
