Jofra Archer, Jamie Smith and Adil Rashid are all in England's white-ball squads

England have selected their white-ball squads for three series against South Africa and Ireland in September. Here's how all of the players selected in those squads have fared in The Hundred so far.

*This list does not include Brydon Carse, who was ruled out of the competition to manage his workload

Phil Salt

Salt missed England's last T20I series against West Indies to take paternity leave, opening the door for Jamie Smith to stake his claim as an opener. He hit a rapid 50 in his final innings of the tour, and his ball-striking against India laid down a marker for his all-format future. There are also other openers in the squad, meaning a strong performance in The Hundred could go a long way to putting Salt ahead of them. He started the competition strongly, scoring 60 off 41 balls against Southern Brave, and hit 41 off 32 at The Oval in his second outing.

Tom Banton

Banton's resurgence has seen him play both 50 and 20-over cricket for England this year, and he's been named in all three squads for the series next month. He's currently one of the most consistent run-scorers in the competition, with scores of 43, 37 and 46 for Trent Rockets, striking at just under 150.

Harry Brook

England's full-time captain has played a vital part in Northern Superchargers topping the group table four games in. His most notable moment in the competition was an outrageous reverse scoop off the first ball of his innings against Birmingham Phoenix.

Jos Buttler

Buttler has been a the standout in a shaky Manchester Originals batting order. He hit 57 off 34 balls as one of only two batters to score more than 11 against Welsh Fire earlier this week.

Jamie Smith

In making his case to stay ahead Salt as T20I opener, Smith hit a stand-out half-century against Trent Rockets, scoring 52 runs off 34 balls in partnership with Kane Williamson.

Will Jacks

A hit and miss competition so far for Will Jacks. He scored a blistering 61 off just 26 balls against Manchester Originals, slamming 12 boundaries in his innings, but was dismissed for a duck in his next outing. His role with the ball has been limited in the quick-fire format.

Jacob Bethell

Ready for his first gig as England captain – their youngest ever – against Ireland, Bethell hit his straps in his fourth innings in the competition having previously been out in single figures three times. He hit 48 off 23 balls against Northern Superchargers, including three consecutive sixes off Mitchell Santner.

Rehan Ahmed

Continuing his County Championship role as a top-order batter, Rehan hasn't quite managed to find his grove with the bat yet. His high score so far was a 26-ball 31 against Northern Superchargers, but he's found decent returns with the ball. Named in all-three squads for next month, this could be the time Rehan Ahmed hits England's mainstream.

Joe Root

Root will feature in the ODI squad against South Africa, but while calls for his return to the T20I set-up emerged after his SA20 success earlier this year, his Hundred performance so far has not brought them on again. His high-score from three innings is 27.

Ben Duckett

The all-format opener has so far struggled to get going, returning scores of 0, 20, 7 and 11.

Jamie Overton

Having missed the first match of London Spirit's campaign following the Oval Test, Overton's four wickets in the competition have come at 19.

Matthew Potts

After a decent start against Welsh Fire, Potts struggled in his next two outings, conceding runs and not taking any wicket. However, he was instrumental in Northern Superchargers' win over Birmingham Phoenix, taking the crucial early wickets of Duckett and Joe Clarke before also closing out his spell with the wicket of Adam Milne to return 3-26 off his 20 balls.

Luke Wood

Having broken through into England's mainstream T20I bowling lineup earlier this summer, Wood's Hundred campaign may look underwhelming as far his raw figures are concerned. However, he's operated as part of London Spirit's pack of pace bowlers, mostly bowling at the start of the innings with fielding restrictions in place.

Jofra Archer

Speeds up and bucket hat on, Archer's resurgent summer has continued with some fearsome spells in The Hundred so far.

Saqib Mahmood

Having played just two matches in the competition so far, Mahmood has made a big impact for Invincibles when on the field. He took 3-28 against Birmingham Phoenix, including trapping Dan Mousley lbw and castling Louis Kimber in consecutive deliveries.

Liam Dawson

The possibility of an all-format international summer beckons for Dawson, in the ODI and T20I squads for the back-end of the season, and he's been dependable as ever for London Spirit. He dismissed both Oval Invincibles' openers in the first match of the competition, and has doubled his wicket tally in the matches since.

Sonny Baker

Twenty-two-year-old Baker's hostile spell to David Warner was enough to tip the balance in his favour to earn England selection. Having been on their radar since the Lions tour last winter and advanced his case during the domestic summer, he's now on the brink of bolting into the big time.

Adil Rashid

As you would expect, Rashid is in the top five wicket-takers in the competition, and taking his wickets while conceding fewer runs than pretty much every other spinner in the competition.

Tom Hartley

Hartley's one game so far brought him one wicket, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, in an eventual loss for Manchester Originals.
